While living in New York City, founder Eda Lourdes Aguilar transformed through real life chronicles of personal growth and professional hurdles. It was this reinvention that led her to the creation of Edalou after working for over a decade in finance. Once her debut handbag was nominated for a prestigious award in New York City, Eda found her calling and knew she had to embrace the Rock that was beating in her heart. Her path took her from finance to fashion, from the Big Apple to the City of Lights. Arriving in Paris after falling in love, Edalou's inspiration for the brand and the motor driving her heart remain: her empowering girlfriends, a love for music, the practice of dance, and the belief in improving the world through the evolution of consumption. La Coucou is made in Paris, France. About the Founder: Eda Lourdes Aguilar Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Eda Lourdes was drawn to the creative world at a very young age through her involvement with dancing, modeling, television, and theater. Eda’s mentors and professors ultimately inspired her to make the move from finance to fashion. Eda received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 2000 and completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 2007. After working for fifteen years in finance and investments, Eda relocated to France from New York City as a result of finding love in Paris. While Eda is a passionate entrepreneur, she is also a proud mommy to Yohan and Jarod. In May 2019, she was nominated for the Independent Handbag Designer Awards competition in New York City, which led her to dream of launching her brand. Having attended Parsons the New School for Art & Design and working for the fashion houses of Kenzo, Iro, Apparis, Miriam Budet, Koshka and Lemloren, Eda received an insider experience of the industry, which she leveraged to launch her line, Edalou Paris. Eda’s drive is to design for visionary women, who are professional, discerning, active, and stylish. With the mantra: ROCK DANCE & LOVE, Eda's design inspiration comes from the strong women in her life, starting with her Mother, her aunts, and her loyal girlfriends. Edgar Jara is a Paraguayan graphic designer, who from a very young age at the age of 17 was related to the world of design through the fascinating world of graphic arts, where I enter as an assistant to form in the profession his passion and enthusiasm for the works to be printed led him to meet in that place prestigious designers and plastic artists of the country, this relationship forged his impetus by the knowledge of design that a few years later in 1988 would lead him to train at the only design institute at the time, Art Studium, graduating as a better student with the title of superior technician in graphic design, from there everything would be on the rise in a Meteoric and constant career of professionalization and hard work in the media of the highest prestige in the country. There was knowledge and without fear of challenges, it continued to be perfected in specialized workshops until years later he was enabled to design at the university level at the Catholic University of Asunción, managed to enroll and attend the first years, pitifully circumstances of life prevented him from graduating, however, he continued to work for large commercial companies becoming in charge of the development and advertising creativity for large global automotive brands such as Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Suzuki, Daewoo, and Ssangyong, for the representative companies Censu and Cencar S.A. After almost 10 years, life would give him the rematch and finish his university studies, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the faculty of Science and Technology of the UCA, (Catholic University of Asunción) His professional projection brought him back to the media to a new media holding company the Chena Group, where for more than 10 years he directed communication and brand projects, by then he had been perfecting himself for quite some time and developing a Brand design for the creation of important brands at the national level. Currently with more than 30 years of experience in carrying out design consulting projects and as a Brand designer for all types of companies, as well as a wide range of packaging design, advertising, and social media services. Experience and constant updates allow you to manage projects for any area or platform of visual communication, creativity, and multitasking skills to execute professional plans. His professional profile could be said to be framed as a specialist in the creation of strong brands, strategic approaches to integral identity communication, elaboration of guides for the positioning and strengthening of corporate brands. It should be noted that his skill is a conjugation of creative processes, a perfect symphony of the structure in the design of each logo. Turning these into a pleasure to the eye. He is an associate professor and the director of the Discipline and Research Management Office at the School of Design and Arts, Hunan University of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Design and serves as the director of the Center for Product Design Innovation. His research interests include product innovation design and education for special populations. He has led six provincial and ministerial-level research projects and participated in nine national and provincial-level research projects. Additionally, he serves as a consultant for product design and development at Membrane Solutions Company and as a resident expert at Shaodong Smart Manufacturing Technology Research Institute. He has co-edited one textbook and authored nearly 20 papers in journals such as "Technology in Society," "Journal of Science and Technology Management," and "Fine Arts Observation," indexed in SSCI, CSSCI, and Peking University Core Collection, among others. He has received one A Design Award from Italy and serves as a reviewer for top international journals such as "Computers & Education" and "Computers in Human Behavior." He has guided students to win over 100 awards in international, national, and provincial design competitions and has applied for 18 patents.
