Swee Tuan Pang

Pang Swee Tuan is a Singapore Ceramic artist who has been practicing ceramic fine arts since 1990. A diverse ceramic artist, his works draw inspiration from historic oriental elements to the interesting forms of corals. Besides being an artist, he teaches in multiple local schools, seeking to impart the love and appreciation of ceramic to the next generation. Pang Swee Tuan had his first solo exhibition in 2013. Beyond Singapore, he has exhibited his works in USA, Croatia, Belgium, Italy, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Macau and China.

Saara Korppi is a Finnish 34-year-old enthusiastic glassblower and glass designer. She studied 3 years at the Nuutajärvi glass school in Finland and graduated as an Artisan glassblower in 2010. Then, straight after Nuutajärvi she studied one year in the glassblowing postgraduate program in the Nordic Programmer in the Riksglasskolan in Orrefors in Sweden. She continued studies in Orrefors for one year and graduated with a higher education as a Design and Art glassblower in 2013. She has also worked as a glassblower assistant in Norway and Sweden. In addition to this, she has studied at special workshops in Venice in Italy and in the USA. In her studies, she has focused on Venetian glassblowing which includes the production of goblet glasses.

Rice & Rice Fine Furniture was founded by Miles Jason Rice with the vision to create timeless yet unexpected pieces of design furniture, created with honesty and appreciation for the material, the crafts and the design. Following in the footsteps of the artisan-craftsmen of the British isles, Miles is a self-taught furniture designer, whose mantra is: "You cannot teach passion." This allows Miles to take inspiration from traditional designs and manufacturing processes, whilst allowing him to push far beyond these to create his very own visual language. The first major series of works designed by Miles was a collection of coffee and dining tables design that is pushing the boundaries not only of craftsmanship but also of table design. This collection clearly shows the key sources of inspiration for Miles. He draws inspiration from the beauty and specific properties of the materials. Equally important as a source of inspiration is modern architecture and art, especially installations and sculptures that play with the characteristics of the materials. Thirdly, Miles is a strong admirer of craftsmanship, working with selected masters of their crafts to develop and produce his designs. These very different sources of inspiration create a fusion of craftsmanship, the beauty of the material and creativity. The unique design of the Sculptura dining table was recognized at the 2019 Best Of Year awards of the Interior Design magazine, one of the most prestigious awards in interior and furniture design, as an Honoree. Working with some of the best craftspeople in Europe, Rice & Rice Fine Furniture is pushing furniture design and manufacturing beyond what is common for their profession when working in wood, glass, brass, marble and other materials.

As the son of a well-known Chinese jade sculptor, he optimized his design works like carving crafts. In 2011, Gong invented a new sensory input solution, won the award "Reddot: best of the best" for the highest design quality, expressing innovation in form and function in an exemplary manner. In 2014, he founded Luckey, which provides the world's first interactive sensory input hardware and software solution Nums. Luckey is the National High-tech Enterprise founded by a team of masters and PhDs from Tsinghua University. The Company is moving the world of IoT forwarding by the internationally original tactile sensation algorithm and creative hardware products. Luckey obtained an investment of 3 million dollars from famous investment institutions shortly after leaving the campus. Nums is cooperating with Top 500 Companies in pre-installation, while its B2C retail performs very well over the world. Design to Improve Life is the keyword. He is a sustainability advocate who argues that a designer's role is to create products that are both commercially viable and contribute to social good.
